Baking in the sun

Hey Ya'll

Itzmeeee again :) I'm spending the shvuos holiday down south, well not 'that' south lol, I'm in Florida with my grandparents and just wanted to wish everyone in the more 'chill'ed out state a "gut yom tov".
I heard 2 cute things about the jews in the lakewood colel.

Y'know why they dont learn Eiyov?
Cause in english its JOB!

I heard that in lakewood they allow the guys to marry two wives.
They cant live on one income!

Until next time,
Farmer Moe

Gut Yom Tov

I poshut did not have a moment to call everyone
and as i am the first to go into Shavuos
i wish everyone a gut yom tov

Off The Topic...

This should be required viewing for every charedi bochur/yungerman from Lubavitch to Lakewood and everything in between. I hope they're using every second in yeshiva/kolel doing what they tell the world they're doing. If not, they've got some 'splaining to do.

Just a thought...

So I've been davening with Levi at the 7th & 8th Grade Minyan for the last few weeks. Besides myself, Rabbis Shanowitz & Simpson are the only adults in the room. Before davening, Rabbi Shanowitz always says the 'Hayom Yom'. So I'm wondering if any kids actually listen to what's been said, or are they conditioned to switch off while Rebbi babbles on. Today I got my answer. I don't think they listen to a word. Rabbi Shanowitz read and translated today's Hayom Yom and not a kid batted an eyelid. Check it out here. He even explained the footnote. (Huh?!)

Important news

First of all Avremi the blog is gevaldig especially the Persach pictures. Personally I found it difficult to get into it overseas and it has taken me a week or two to settle down back in Sydney but here I come.

Now for the news. For those who don't know, after many many years I finally got my drivers licence. For the last week I have been driving around. It is an interesting feeling. I thought I had better get in before my kids start.

Like Father, Like Son....

Ya'll know how much MBH is like his Dad...the way they look, walk, sneeze (not kidding!) chocolate after the meal, "love" of being photographed and of crowds (there's more I can't come up with in my slightly overtired state), ....here's a new one. After going out, don't matter what time we get back, we now have a new custom ..we sit down with tea and talk about the event!!!!!!!!!!!! and you know what, it's kinda nice! Gotta go boil the water.............ttfn!
